At Easter Time
Easter - what does it bring
A peep of the beginning of Spring
I remember Easter’s when I was a child
We donned our Summer clothes for the weather was mild
We painted boiled eggs but what happened to them?
I cannot remember ever eating them eggs from the hen
In 1875 Cadburys Easter eggs arrived
So there’s a tradition that has survived
And what about this Easter Bunny?
Bunnies don’t lay eggs so that’s a bit funny
So I googled it to find out the reason
Rabbits signify fertility ie resurrection of christ in
the Easter season
It’s a bank holiday which is nice for many
But once your retired you don’t need any
Whatever you are doing at this Easter time
I hope you do it well and the weather is fine
